Acts 20

Acts 20:10

"But Paul went down and fell upon him, and after embracing him, he said, "Do not be troubled, for his life is in him.""
Acts 20:9–10—How could Eutycus be dead if he had life in him?
Contrasting Link: Acts 20:9

Acts 20:9–10—How could Eutycus be dead if he had life in him?

Problem: Verse nine says he was “taken up dead.” But in the very next verse Paul said, “his life is in him.”

Solution: His life was in him only after Paul had performed the miracle (v. 10), not before (v. 9).
