Ephesians 4:5
"one Lord, one faith, one baptism,"
Does Ephesians 4:5 Teach Unitarianism?
Skeptics and Unitarians often misuse this verse by confusing Unitarianism with monotheism. A proper regard for what Trinitarianism actually teaches, however, refutes these applications in favor of an orthodox position. By Christian Trinitarian understanding, the Word and Spirit are distinct Divine Persons who share the one divine essence with the Father. They are inclusive of the "one Lord" of whom there is "none other" -- they are not separate Lords or Gods, but are part of the divine identity of the one God.
