Some argue that recent peace agreements between Israel and Egypt destroyed the validity of Ezekiel 29:16. However, this verse is talking about Israel asking for military help, as they did in ages past before Arabs were the primary residents of Egypt. All Israel and Egypt have agreed to do these days is not war against each other. They have not asked Egypt for military help, and neither are they likely to in the future, as Egypt would be unwilling to fight against their Arab and Islamic brethren.
