"And God blessed them, saying, Increase and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the seas and flying creatures of heaven, and all the cattle and all the earth, and all the reptiles that creep on the earth."
Were man and woman given dominion or confined to Eden?

It is said that the first account gives men and women dominion, whereas in the second they were "confined" to Eden.
Where does it say that they were "confined" to Eden? All that is indicated here is God getting the dominion process started with an initial parcel of land that is ready to go.
