Luke 15:7
""I tell you that in the same way, there will be [more] joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance."
Does Luke 15:7 imply that some people do not need repentance?
Some ask how there could be 99 in no need of repentance, when the Bible says we all need it. This objection presses the analogy farther than it is intended. If we analyze it strictly, the single sheep who strayed did so at a given moment in time; the other 99 did not stray just then, but might do so later. Repentance isn't just a moment-in-time affair, but a continuous turning toward God.
