Discovered in 1970 within the charred ruins of an ancient synagogue in En-Gedi, this heavily carbonized scroll could not be physically opened. In 2015, scientists successfully 'virtually unwrapped' the fragile lump using advanced micro-CT scanning technology. The recovered text from the Book of Leviticus matches the traditional Hebrew Bible perfectly, making it a crucial witness to the stability of the biblical text.
Codex Vaticanus
Codex Vaticanus is one of the oldest and most valuable surviving manuscripts of the complete Greek Bible. It has been securely housed in the Vatican Library since at least the late 15th century and is celebrated for its elegant script written on very high-quality vellum.
Codex Colberto-Sarravianus
