Matthew 21:31
""Which of the two did the will of his father?" They said, "The first." Jesus said to them, "Truly I say to you that the tax collectors and prostitutes will get into the kingdom of God before you."
Do sinners inherit the Kingdom of God?
Contrasting Link: 1CO 6:9 →
A perceived contradiction is raised regarding how this aligns with Matthew 21:31, which says that sinners get into the Kingdom of God. However, this leaves out 1 Cor. 6:11: "And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God" and Matt. 21:32 "For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did." Obviously, Paul is talking about sinners if they are not saved while Jesus is talking about those publicans and harlots that believed in him.
