Surah 10:90

"And We crossed the sea with the Sons of Israel, and Pharaoh and his forces followed them (out of) envy and enmity, until, when the drowning overtook him, he said, ‘I believe that (there is) no god but the One in whom the Sons of Israel believe. I am one of those who submit.’"

Surah 10:92 → "Today We rescue you with your body, so that you may be a sign for those who succeed you. Yet surely many of the people are indeed oblivious of Our signs.’"

Opposing Verses

Surah 20:78 → "So Pharaoh followed them with his forces, but (there) covered them of the sea what covered them."
Was Pharaoh drowned or was he saved? Some verses state that the sea completely covered and drowned Pharaoh and his forces, while another verse states that God rescued Pharaoh in his body to be a sign for succeeding generations.

Does the Quran state that Pharaoh was drowned or saved? Some verses state that Pharaoh and his people were drowned in the sea, while another verse states that God rescued Pharaoh's body.
