Surah 11:25
"Certainly We sent Noah to his people: ‘I am a clear warner for you."
11.25 – Certainly We sent Noah to his people
Noah is an important character in the Quran, and different versions of his story appear seven times. This version (vv. 25–48) is the most extensive. It begins with an animated conversation between Noah and the people who oppose him (vv. 25–34). Then God commands Noah to build the “ship,” gives instructions on how to fill it, and sets Noah and his family off on the waves (vv. 36–44). When the waters recede, Noah talks with his Lord about the loss of his son (vv. 45–48).
Other versions of Noah’s story come at 7.59–64; 10.71–3; 23.23–30; 26.105–20; 54.7–17; and 71.1–28.
