Surah 11:44

"And it was said: ‘Earth! Swallow your water! And sky! Stop!’ And the waters subsided, and the command was accomplished, and it came to rest on al-Jūdī. And it was said: ‘Away with the people who were evildoers!’"

11.44 – it came to rest on al-Jūdī

The Torah account of Noah states that “the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat” (Genesis 8:4). Al-Jūdī is a name that reflects postbiblical Jewish and Christian speculations about the particular mountain on which the ark landed.
