Surah 11:58
"And when Our command came, We rescued Hūd, and those who believed with him, by a mercy from Us, and We rescued them from a stern punishment."
11.58 – We rescued Hūd, and those who believed with him
The language of salvation is usually found in stories about figures familiar from the Old Testament. In this sūra, however, the expression “We rescued” is associated with Hūd, Ṣāliḥ (v. 66), and Shu‘ayb (v. 94). See “Salvation in the Quran”.
