Verse 19

Is the one who knows that what has been sent down to you from your Lord is the truth, like the one who is blind? Only those with understanding take heed:

Allah says, They could never be equal; those among people who know that what,
{has been revealed unto you}, O Muhammad,
{from your Lord is the truth}, which is true, and contains no doubt, confusion, difference or contradictions. Rather, it is all true and testifies to each other; its various parts are related to and support each other. Therefore, those who have this knowledge, are they equal to,
{him who is blind?}

who does not have the ability to see or comprehend the truth, nor understand it? The answer is no, they are never equal.
{Not equal are the dwellers of the Fire and the dwellers of the Paradise. It is the dwellers of Paradise that will be successful.} [59:20]
Allah said in this Ayah,
{But it is only the men of understanding that pay heed.}

meaning, those who have sound minds will draw lessons and comprehend, and all praise is to Allah.

About this Source & Scholarly Authority (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)

Universal Sunni Consensus: Tafsir al-Qur'an al-Azim by Hafiz Ibn Kathir (701–774 AH / 1301–1373 AD) is universally regarded across all major schools of Sunni Islam (traditional, Salafi, Ash'ari) as the most authoritative classical exegesis. It is prized because it relies on Tafsir bil-Ma'thur—interpreting the Quran using the Quran itself, authentic Hadiths of Prophet Muhammad, and recorded statements of the early Companions (Sahabah).

Standard English Edition: This text is from the standard 10-volume English abridgment published by Dar-us-Salam Publications (supervised by Shaykh Safiur-Rahman Al-Mubarakpuri), which is the official, most widely distributed English Quranic commentary in mosques and Islamic libraries worldwide today.
