Surah 13:36
"Those to whom We have given the Book rejoice in what has been sent down to you, though some among the factions reject part of it. Say: ‘I am only commanded to serve God, and not to associate (anything) with Him. To Him do I call (you), and to Him is my return.’"
13.36 – Those to whom We have given the Book rejoice in what has been sent down to you
The setting for this verse seems different from many other passages in the Quran. If the People of the Book approve of the recitations of the messenger, what is their relationship to him and his message?
