Surah 14:12
"Why should we not put our trust in God, when He has guided us to our ways. Indeed we shall patiently endure whatever harm you do us. In God let the trusting put their trust.’"
This is the attitude of many of the messengers referred to in the Quran and indeed of biblical prophets in general. Interestingly, elsewhere in the Quran the same verb for harming, ādhā , is used to threaten punishment for “those who hurt Allah and His messenger” (33.57).
