Verse 10

He (it is) who sends down water from the sky. From it you have (something to) drink, and from it vegetation (grows) on which you pasture (livestock).

Verse 11

By means of it He causes the crops to grow for you, and (also) olives, and date palms, and grapes, and all (kinds of) fruit. Surely in that is a sign indeed for a people who reflect.

Quoted Scripture
"10. He it is Who sends water down from the sky; from it you drink and from it (grows) the vegetation on which you send your cattle to pasture."

"11. With it He causes crops to grow for you, the olives, the date palms, the grapes, and every kind of fruit. Verily, in this there is indeed an evident proof and a manifest sign for people who give thought."

When Allah mentions the blessings of cattle and other animals that He has granted mankind, He then mentions how He has blessed them by sending rain down from the sky above, which has been fulfilling the needs and bringing joy to people and their cattle. Allah says:

Quoted Scripture
"from it you drink"

meaning, He made it fresh and pure so that they can drink it, not salty and undrinkable.

Quoted Scripture
"and from it (grows) the vegetation on which you send your cattle to pasture."

i.e. He produces plants for you to graze your cattle on.

About this Source & Scholarly Authority (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)

Universal Sunni Consensus: Tafsir al-Qur'an al-Azim by Hafiz Ibn Kathir (701–774 AH / 1301–1373 AD) is universally regarded across all major schools of Sunni Islam (traditional, Salafi, Ash'ari) as the most authoritative classical exegesis. It is prized because it relies on Tafsir bil-Ma'thur—interpreting the Quran using the Quran itself, authentic Hadiths of Prophet Muhammad, and recorded statements of the early Companions (Sahabah).
