19.28 – Sister of Aaron! Your father was not a bad man
Mary’s kinfolk address her as the sister of Aaron – the brother of Moses and Miriam (Exodus 15:20). This verse, together with 3.35–36 and 66.12, seems to indicate a conflation of Miriam with Maryam the mother of ‘Īsā in the Quran.
