2.111 – They say, “No one will enter the Garden unless they are Jews or Christians”

This verse seems to reflect a confrontation between the messenger and his audience that continues at least to verse 121 and perhaps as far as verse 141, or even up to verse 162. In response to the claims of the audience, the Quran tells the messenger what to “say.”
