Surah 2:136
"Say: ‘We believe in God, and what has been sent down to us, and what has been sent down to Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the tribes, and what was given to Moses and Jesus, and what was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we submit.’"
2.136 – We believe in God, and what has been sent down to us, and what has been sent down to Abraham
This statement of faith seems to put the present recitation of the messenger on the same level as God’s revelations to prophets prior to Islam. The verse also claims that the speakers make no distinction among the prophets (cf. v. 285). To what extent does the remainder of the Quran bear this out?
