Surah 2:6
"Surely those who disbelieve – (it is) the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them. They will not believe."
2.6 – Surely those who disbelieve
The opposite to believing, disbelieving (kafara), also makes its appearance at the beginning of the book. Throughout the Quran, faith and unbelief (kufr) are in opposition and conflict.
In this opening passage of the sūra (v. 1–39), the Quran does not specify who “the disbelievers” are. This is a typical feature of the Quran: various groups of people are referred to by pronouns but not named.
