Surah 2:89
"When (there) came to them a Book from God, confirming what was with them – though before (this) they had asked for victory against those who disbelieved – when what they recognized came to them, they disbelieved in it. So the curse of God is on the disbelievers."
2.89 – When (there) came to them a Book from God, confirming what was with them
The Quran claims that this writing (or “book”) is from Allah and states that its contents “confirm” (muṣaddiq) that which is “with” the audience. This verse starts a series of verses that claim correspondence (2.89, 91, 97, 101). See the analysis of this claim at 46.12.
