Surah 20:113

"In this way We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur’ān, and We have varied some of the promise(s) in it, so that they may guard (themselves), or so that it may arouse in them a reminder."

The Quran claims that it is revealed. The word qur ’ ān does not necessarily mean the Muslim scripture as it is known today. See the comment on “Qur’ān” at 2.185 and an analysis of claims for “Arabic” at 43.2–3.
