Surah 23:50
"And We made the son of Mary and his mother a sign, and We gave them both refuge on high ground, (where there was) a hollow (as) a dwelling place and a flowing spring:"
– And We made the son of Mary and his mother a sign
This very brief mention of ‘Īsā refers to him simply as the “son of Mary.” The details in this verse, like the details of 19.22–26, are similar to those in a Christian apocryphal work, theGospel of Pseudo-Matthew.
