Supporting Verses
Surah 7:77 → "So they wounded the she-camel, and disdained the command of their Lord, and said, ‘Ṣāliḥ! Bring us what you promise us, if you are one of the envoys.’"
Surah 91:14 → "But they called (him) a liar and wounded her. So their Lord covered them over for their sin and leveled it."
Opposing Verses
Surah 54:29 → "But they called their companion, and he took (a sword) and wounded (her)."
Does the Quran state that a single individual or multiple people killed the she-camel of Salih (Thamud)? One verse describes a single companion who took a sword and wounded her, while other verses use plural pronouns to state that 'they' (the people collectively) wounded the camel.
