27.17 – Gathered before Solomon were his forces – jinn, and men, and birds

Solomon not only knows the language of birds (v. 16), but the language of ants as well (vv. 18–19). A hoopoe bird arrives late to Solomon’s review of the birds. For the Quran’s concept of jinn, see the summary at 72.1.
