Surah 29

Surah 29:28

"And Lot, when he said to his people: ‘Surely you commit (such) immorality (as) no one in all the worlds has committed before you."

29.28 – And Lot, when he said to his people
Lot confronts his people and asks, “Do you indeed approach men . . . ?” (v. 29). He describes their actions as “immorality” (fāḥisha) and “wrong” (or abomination, munkar, v. 29). In this sixth of eight versions of Lot’s story in the Quran, the people challenge him to bring Allah’s doom upon them. Lot’s wife stays behind when the rest of the family flees (v. 33).
In the middle of this Lot story, Allah’s messengers bring Abraham the “good news,” but give no details of either a son or Isaac (v. 31).
