Surah 3:124 → "(Remember) when you said to the believers, ‘Is it not sufficient for you that your Lord increases you with three thousand angels (specially) sent down?"

Opposing Verses

Surah 15:8 → "We only send down the angels with the truth, and then they will not be spared."
Surah 8:9 → "(Remember) when you were calling on your Lord for help, and He responded to you: ‘I am going to increase you with a thousand angels following behind.’"
The number of angels sent by God to assist the believers in battle is cited differently across various verses. Some verses mention one thousand angels, while others state the number was three thousand or five thousand.
