Surah 3:152
"Certainly God fulfilled His promise to you when you were killing them by His permission, until you lost courage and argued about the matter, and disobeyed after He had shown you what you love. (There are) some of you who desire this world, and some of you who desire the Hereafter. Then He turned you away from them, so that He might test you. Certainly He has pardoned you. God is full of favor to the believers."
3.152 – Certainly God fulfilled His promise to you when you were killing them by His permission
This idea, that one group of humans kills another group by the permission of Allah and according to his promise, needs to be carefully examined for both its theology and its morality. The goal of peaceful coexistence in a multifaith world would seem to counter it.
This verse joins 22.39 in claiming that Allah gives permission for fighting and 9.14 in asserting that Allah punishes people at the hands of “believers.”
