Surah 3:164
"Certainly God bestowed favor on the believers when He raised up among them a messenger from among them, to recite His signs to them, and to purify them, and to teach them the Book and the wisdom, though before (this) they were indeed clearly astray."

In the midst of the battle scene comes this “self-referential” verse claiming that Allah sends both the messenger and his recitations. Who is the speaker of verses in which both Allah and messenger are in third person and in which there is no command to the messenger to “say” the recitations that Allah dictates?
