Surah 3:2
"God – (there is) no god but Him, the Living, the Everlasting."
– God – (there is) no god but Him
The Quran distinguishes Allah from other “gods” or concepts of God. This expression, which repeats in many parts of the Quran (e.g., vv. 18, 61), is similar to the first part of the Islamic confession of faith, “No god except Allah.”
