Surah 3:50
"And (I come) confirming what was before me of the Torah, and to make permitted to you some things which were forbidden to you (before). I have brought you a sign from your Lord, so guard (yourselves) against God, and obey me."
3.50 – And (I come) confirming what was before me of the Torah
The idea that ‘Īsā “confirmed” the Torah (also at 5.46 and 61.6, cf. 5.110) raises the interesting question of Jesus’ relationship to the Old Testament. See the discussion of this concept at 61.6.
