Surah 3:59
"Surely the likeness of Jesus is, with God, as the likeness of Adam. He created him from dust, (and) then He said to him, ‘Be!’ and he was."
3.59 – Surely the likeness of Jesus is, with God, as the likeness of Adam
This verse makes an important statement about the nature of ‘Īsā. According to this verse, ‘Īsā is a created being like Adam. That comes in stark contrast with New Testament teaching on this theme. The Gospel says that all things were made through Jesus (John 1:3, 10), and other passages affirm that the universe was created through him (1 Corinthians 8:6, Hebrews 1:2), by him, and for him (Colossians 1:16).
See the analysis of the Quran’s denials of the deity of ‘Īsā at Q 43.59.
