Surah 31:18

"Do not turn your cheek to the people, and do not walk on the earth in jubilation. Surely God does not love anyone who is arrogant (and) boastful."

31.18 – Surely God does not love anyone who is arrogant (and) boastful
The Quran contains twenty-four statements about the kinds of people whom Allah does not love. The object in this verse, the “arrogant (and) boastful” ( mukhtār fakhūr ), also appears at 4.36 and 57.23.
