Surah 33:40

"Muḥammad is not the father of any of your men, but the messenger of God and the seal of the prophets. God has knowledge of everything."

Opposing Verses

Surah 11:12 → "Perhaps you are leaving out part of what you are inspired (with), and your heart is weighed down by it, because they say, ‘If only a treasure were sent down on him or an angel came with him.’ You are only a warner. God is guardian over everything."
Surah 13:7 → "Those who disbelieve say, ‘If only a sign were sent down on him from his Lord.’ You are only a warner, and for every people (there is) a guide."
Surah 29:50 → "They say, ‘If only signs were sent down on him from his Lord.’ Say: ‘The signs are only with God. I am only a clear warner.’"
Surah 38:65 → "Say: ‘I am only a warner. (There is) no god but God, the One, the Supreme,"
Does the Quran state that Muhammad is a prophet and messenger, or exclusively a warner? Some verses identify Muhammad as a messenger and the seal of the prophets, while others use restrictive language stating he is only a warner.
