Surah 34:10
"Certainly We gave David favor from Us: ‘You mountains! Return (praises) with him, and you birds (too)!’ And We made iron malleable for him:"
34.10–Certainly We gave David favor from Us
David urges the mountains and birds to praise Allah (and in more detail in 38.17–20). Verses 10 and 11 suggest that David also had skill in making armor. A similar passage on David comes at 21.79–80, where it is Allah who subdues the mountains and birds to praise along with David (also 38.18–19).
