"Certainly for Sheba there was a sign in their dwelling place – two gardens, on the right and left: ‘Eat from the provision of your Lord, and be thankful to Him. A good land and a forgiving Lord.’"

The people of Sheba are also mentioned at 27.22–44, where a woman who rules the people has a central role. Here the queen is absent, and the description focuses an ungrateful people whom Allah judges and punishes.
