Surah 7:158 → "Say: ‘People! Surely I am the messenger of God to you – all (of you) – (the messenger of) the One to whom (belongs) the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. (There is) no god but Him. He gives life and causes death. So believe in God and His messenger, the prophet of the common people, who believes in God and His words, (and) follow him, so that you may be (rightly) guided.’"
Opposing Verses
Surah 14:4 → "We have not sent any messenger except in the language of his people, so that he might make (things) clear to them. Then God leads astray whomever He pleases and guides whomever He pleases. He is the Mighty, the Wise."
Does the Quran state that messengers are sent exclusively to their own people, or to all of humanity? Some verses state that messengers are only sent in the language of their own people, while other verses state that Muhammad was sent to all people.
