Surah 35:31
"What We have inspired you (with) of the Book – it is the truth, confirming what was before it. Surely God is indeed aware of His servants (and) sees (them)."

The Quran repeatedly asserts that the recitation is “sent down” to or “inspired” in the messenger. The Quran also claims that its contents confirm ( muṣaddiq ) what came before it. For an analysis of the Quran’s claim of confirmation, see 46.12.
