The prophet Elijah ( Ilyās ) appears only here and in a list at 6.85. The mention of Baal ( ba ‘ l ) in verse 125 connects this story (vv. 123–30) with the account of Elijah and the prophets of Baal in 1 Kings 18:18–40.
