Supporting Verses

Surah 11:12 → "Perhaps you are leaving out part of what you are inspired (with), and your heart is weighed down by it, because they say, ‘If only a treasure were sent down on him or an angel came with him.’ You are only a warner. God is guardian over everything."

Opposing Verses

Surah 33:40 → "Muḥammad is not the father of any of your men, but the messenger of God and the seal of the prophets. God has knowledge of everything."
Does the Quran state that Muhammad is a prophet and messenger, or exclusively a warner? Some verses identify Muhammad as a messenger and the seal of the prophets, while others use restrictive language stating he is only a warner.
