Surah 39:49
"When hardship touches a person, he calls on Us. Then, when We bestow blessing on him from Us, he says, ‘I have only been given it because of knowledge.’ No! It is a test, but most of them do not know (it)."
– When hardship touches a person, he calls on Us
As in verse 8, Allah shows mercy to those who call on him, but humans tend to take the credit for themselves (v. 49) – or to forget altogether (v. 8).
