Surah 4:125

"Who is better in religion than one who submits his face to God, and is a doer of good, and follows the creed of Abraham the Ḥanīf? God took Abraham as a friend."

The sūra briefly mentions Abraham and describes him as an “upright” (Ḥanīf) man and a “friend” (khalīl). On Ḥanīf, see the comment at 2.135.
