Surah 4:163
"Surely We have inspired you as We inspired Noah and the prophets after him, and as We inspired Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the tribes, and Jesus, and Job, and Jonah, and Aaron, and Solomon, and We gave David (the) Psalms,"
4.163 – Surely We have inspired you as We inspired Noah and the prophets after him
The Quran directly addresses the messenger to claim that Allah inspires (awḥā) him and that he belongs with the following list of biblical characters. It is surely significant that this bold claim and the assertion of verse 170 should appear between two of the most controversial statements about Jesus in the Quran (vv. 157, 171).

4.163 – We gave David (the) Psalms
This is the Quran’s first mention of the Psalms (Zabūr), here associated with David (see also 17.55; 21.105).
