Surah 4

Surah 4:36

"Serve God, and do not associate anything with Him, and (do) good to parents and to family, and the orphans and the poor, and the neighbor who is related and the neighbor who is a stranger, and the companion at your side, and the traveler, and what your right (hands) own. Surely God does not love anyone who is arrogant (and) boastful,"

4.36 – Surely God does not love anyone who is arrogant (and) boastful
The Quran contains twenty-four statements about the kinds of people whom Allah does not love (understanding vv. 37–38 to be a continuation of the last statement in v. 36). The “arrogant (and) boastful” are among the most frequent groups denied the love of Allah (also 31.18; 57.23).
Sūra 4 contains five statements about Allah withholding love but none of the twenty-two quranic statements that say whom Allah loves.
