Surah 4:95
"Those of the believers who sit (at home) – other than the injured – are not equal with the ones who struggle in the way of God with their wealth and their lives. God favors in rank the ones who struggle with their wealth and their lives over the ones who sit (at home). To each God has promised the good (reward), but God favors (with) a great reward the ones who struggle over the ones who sit (at home):"
4.95 â Those of the believers who sit . . . are not equal with the ones who struggle in the way of God
âThe ones who struggleâ translates the Arabic mujÄhidÅ«n, participle of the verb from which the word jihad comes. In this verse the participle appears three times. The sense of struggle that the Quran intends with this word may be partly determined by context. If the context is a battle scene, or if struggle appears close to commands to fight and kill (e.g., 4.84, 89, 91), struggle tends to pick up the sense of fighting.
