Surah 43

Surah 43:1

"Ḥā Mīm."

In Muslim scenarios of end time events, ‘Īsā (the quranic Jesus) has a distinct role. Many Muslim commentators interpret a verse in Sūra 43 to be a reference to the second coming of ‘Īsā. Readers may decide whether verse 61 has strong enough content to bear that interpretation.
In any case, this sūra contains a number of statements about ‘Īsā that are the last of their kinds in the canonical progression of the Quran. Comments on this sūra include several analyses and responses to this content.
