43.61 – Surely it is indeed knowledge for the Hour
Many Muslims interpret this verse to refer to the second coming of ‘Īsā. Yet there seems to be little reason to do so in the verse itself (even if it is read as he). Muslim beliefs about the role of ‘Īsā in end time events were developed not in the Quran but in other early Muslim literature, such as the hadith.
