Surah 47:35
"Do not grow weak and call for peace, when you are the prevailing (force), and God is with you, and will not deprive you of your deeds."
47.35 – Do not grow weak and call for peace, when you are the prevailing (force)
Thus far in the sūra, the Quran has presented a scene of war (v. 4) and fighting (v. 20). Verse 35 seems to make the reasonable point that as long as the battle is going in favor of the “believers” (and Allah is with them), they must not seek to make peace with the enemy. Elsewhere, the Quran says that if the enemy “incline to peace,” the messenger must also incline to it (8.61).
