Surah 48:24

"He (it is) who restrained their hands from you, and your hands from them, in the heart of Mecca, after He gave you victory over them – God sees what you do."

48.24 – in the heart of Mecca

This is the only mention in the Quran of Mecca, the town in which Muslim tradition says Muhammad spent most of his life. At 3.96 the word bakka appears, but it is not clear that bakka refers to a town or that it is connected with Mecca.
