5.87 – You who believe! Do not forbid the good things which God has permitted to you
Here the sūra returns to commandments addressed to “you who believe,” regulating such matters as diet, ritual practice, oaths, wills, wine, and “games of chance” (vv. 87–109).

5.87 – Surely God does not love the transgressors
The “transgressors” (mu‘tadūn) are among the groups most frequently denied the love of Allah (also 2.190; 7.55).
