Surah 50:2
"– No! They are amazed that a warner has come to them from among them, and the disbelievers say, ‘This is an amazing thing!"
50.2 – They are amazed that a warner has come to them from among them
The messenger is merely a warner in this sūra. Further on, the Quran says he is not a tyrant over the people (v. 45) and instructs him to be patient with what they say (v. 39). The idea that a messenger comes from among his people and can speak to them in their own language is an important theme in the Quran.
